This wonderful hamper was won in our raffle by Barbara Hevonen, a local riding school instructor from Ambrières-les-Vallees. Local supporter, Constance picked out the winning ticket.

Hamper contains:

Damson Gin, Damson Jam, Green Tomato Chutney, Plum Chutney, Pear Chutney, Chilli and Garlic Sauce, Chilli Jam, Chilli Oil, Pickled Onions (Paul’s legendary hot recipe!)

  Ce panier gourmand de conserves à la tradition anglaise a été gagné par Barbara Hevonen, monitrice d’équitation d’Ambrières-les-Vallees. Constance, cavalière qui habite dans la région, a choisi le billet gagnant.

A big thank you to everyone who helped organise, donated and attended the quiz fundraiser at The Red Lion in the village square of Désertines, 53190, on 29th December 2012.
There was a great turnout for the 8 rounds of general knowledge questions with prizes for winner, runner up and the picture round. Based on the tried and tested formula used by The Red Lion every month, good fun was had by all. This was topped by a raffle of wine, beer and other tasty goods, which cheered many a happy winner.

With your help we managed to raise 352 €!

All this would not have been possible without the help and support of The Red Lion, and Ann and Rob, who had already raised 80 € and 30 € respectively from previous events.

A special thanks to Julie, the hostess with the mostest, who did a spectacular job of keeping the teams in check – which was no mean feat!

Your donations and support at these events help feed and nurse our horses and ponies. We rely on your help, support and donations, without which we could not help these needful creatures.

Belinda was voted winner of our vegetable competition by votes on Facebook and by volunteers at the stables. You can view her entry here. She won a super hamper of delicious preserves which she is kindly donating back to be raffled to raise extra funds. Details to follow.
